About These Terms
These Terms of Use govern your use of the When To Leave website and app (together, "the Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
When To Leave is operated as a personal project. For any questions, contact hello@whentoleave.co.
The Service
When To Leave calculates a recommended departure time for your airport journey, based on live data including flight status, air traffic, journey time, border control conditions, and weather.
It is a decision-support tool — not a guarantee. You remain responsible for your own travel planning. We strongly recommend checking your airline's check-in deadlines and allowing your own additional buffer time. We are not liable for missed flights.
Your Account
- You must provide a valid email address to create an account
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service
- One account per person — do not share subscriptions
Subscriptions and Payments
Paid features are available via monthly subscription. The current plans and prices are shown on the pricing page.
- Billing — subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges
- Cancellation — you may cancel at any time. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are given for unused time
- Refunds — we offer a full refund within 7 days of first subscribing if you are unsatisfied, on request to hello@whentoleave.co
- Price changes — we will give at least 30 days' notice of any price increase, with the option to cancel before the new price takes effect
- Failed payments — if a payment fails, access to paid features will be suspended until payment is resolved
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service's data sources
- Share your account or subscription with others
- Attempt to circumvent subscription checks or access paid features without a valid subscription
- Interfere with the security or operation of the Service
Data Accuracy and Disclaimer
When To Leave uses live third-party data sources including flight status feeds, Google Maps, EUROCONTROL, and weather providers. While we make every effort to provide accurate, timely information:
- Data from third parties may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate
- The departure time we calculate is a recommendation, not a guarantee
- Unexpected events (strikes, extreme weather, security incidents) may not be reflected in our calculations
We accept no liability for missed flights, costs, or losses arising from use of the Service. Always verify your airline's requirements directly.
Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and branding in When To Leave is our intellectual property. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the Service without written permission.
Availability
We aim to keep the Service available at all times, but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may carry out maintenance, updates, or changes at any time. We will try to give notice of planned downtime where possible.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting hello@whentoleave.co.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.
